As chief strategy officer of Evolent, John Johnson is responsible for enterprise strategy and driving customer value creation. Prior to his current role, John was Evolent’s chief financial officer from 2019 through 2025. Before becoming CFO, John was senior vice president, corporate performance, where he led strategic finance and overall performance management for Evolent.

John joined Evolent in 2016 after serving as vice president, strategy at PSA Healthcare, a leading national provider of pediatric home nursing services, where he led strategy, financial planning and analysis, revenue cycle management and managed care contracting. Early in his career, John led operations at an emergency medicine specialty physician group and held positions at a private investment firm and a management consultancy. John holds a B.A. in physics from Cornell University.
