As chief financial officer, Mario is responsible for the strategic leadership of all financial operations and functions for Evolent.

Mario has over 30 years of experience in finance, strategy and operations in healthcare and consumer companies. Prior to joining Evolent, Mario served as CFO of WellBe Senior Medical, a fast-growing value-based home health care provider. He previously served as CFO of CVS Caremark and COO of CVS Health International. During his time at CVS Health, he also led CVS’s acquisition and integration of Aetna. A trusted strategic partner to CEOs and boards, Mario has managed complex P&Ls, large-scale M&A and capital markets transactions, and enterprise transformations across a variety of companies. Prior to CVS, he spent 15 years in investment banking, primarily at J.P. Morgan, where he focused on the healthcare and consumer sectors. Mario holds an MBA from William & Mary and a BA in Economics from the University of Richmond.
